I got my Masters degree (Diplom) from the Department
of Computer Science of the Dresden
University of Technology.
From 9/94 to 6/95 I was a member of the Project
Pilgrim at the University
of Massachusetts
I was a graduate student at the Department
of Computer Science.
In the summer of 1995 I did parts of my master thesis at the
Department of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science (EECS) at the Massachusetts
Instiute of Technology (MIT).
From 9/92 to 6/93 I was a student at the Department
of Artificial Intelligence of the University
of Edinburgh
My research interests at the university were:
Client/Server applications
background traffic of Open Software
Foundation's Distributed
Computing Environment.
Modeling and Simulation of Client/Server applications
Published papers: Measurement
and Modeling of Threadbased Application using OSF DCE , Konferenz für
verteilte Systeme (Conference in Distributed Processing) Chemnitz Februar
1995, publisher Springer Verlag
Furthermore I wrote a technical report about Security
in Client-Server Communication using DCE-RPC. Some parts will be presented
in a paper about Inter-cell
Performance Investigations , which is accepted for a poster session
at the ICDP96 - IFIP/IEEE
Int. Conference on Distributed Platforms .
This is my
Diploma thesis (Diplomarbeit) (in German only)
